Night Sounds
Night sounds
Fill the air.
Dogs and insects and cars
Are there.
Loud it is.
On and on.
Serenading us
With their habitual song.
They invite us
To stop –
And to
Listen on.

I’m pleased that this year we don’t have the incessant and loud buzz of cicadas!
Crickets too.
Sounds like them. Which is funny, as its midwinter here. I hear frogs in nearby ponds as well.
