                                                                                                             Night Sounds

                                                                                                              Night sounds
                                                                                                                     Fill the air.
                                                                                                                           Dogs and insects and cars
                                                                                                                                       Are there.
                                                                                                                Loud it is.
                                                                                                                        On and on.
                                                                                                                               Serenading us
                                                                                                                                         With their habitual song.
                                                                                                                  They invite us
                                                                                                                         To stop – 
                                                                                                                               And to
                                                                                                                                       Listen on.
