Ginger Cat at Play

Ginger Cat at Play

Ginger cat at play,

Whirling on the concrete,

As the eve gives way,

To night on the street.

Blissfully unaware,

The mere humans

Swerve and swear,

As they astride it with their load.

“Coming through!”

With a bundle to be stowed,

As stocks renew.

Ah, but do I detect?

A glimmer of a grin?

Or some glee do we suspect?

The cat will win.

For any day,

A moment of play,

Gets us in.

Ah! Coffee!

Ah! Coffee!

Ah! Coffee!

Steaming, creaming

Foaming

Brew

Delivered

For me

And you

By deft baristas

And amateurs

Too.

Coffee makes

A morning start

A widening eye

And zinging heart

A reviver after

A post-noon doze

Ah, the aroma

To the nose!

Hazelnut

Vanilla

Cinnamon

Wow!

Do yourself a favour

Get one

Now!

Raspberries Ripe and Ready

Raspberries Ripe and Ready

Raspberries Ripe and Ready

Ripe and ready

Raspberries

Lingering lusciously

For the picking

Oh, it will be

A delight to free

Them from the bowl

There is no self-control

To be had

Before raspberries

Ripe and ready

Ready… steady…

Why!

They’re gone

Already!

What Am I But a Post-it Note

What Am I But a Post-it Note

On me you find a jot

And scribble a lot.

There’s portrait and landscape

And various forms shape

Images on my page

From folks of all age.

I contain the trivial

And matters of import.

Whatever your sport

You can scribe a report.

I faithfully keep whatever you wrote

For I’m a humble post-it note!

Ginger Beer

Ginger Beer

Ginger beer.

Sweet-sour tang, sliding

Along tongue and teeth.

Refreshing relief

To a parched palate.

~~~GUIDELINES~~~
Keep your post to below 500 words, as much as possible.
All we ask is you link to a human news story on your blog on the last Friday of each month, one that shows love, humanity, and brotherhood. Something like this news, about a man who only fosters terminally ill children.
Join us on the last Friday of each month in sharing news that warms the cockles of our heart. No story is too big or small, as long as it goes beyond religion and politics, into the core of humanity.
Place the WE ARE THE WORLD Badge on your sidebar, and help us spread the word on social media. Tweets, Facebook shares, G+ shares using the #WATWB hashtag through the month most welcome. More Blogfest signups mean more friends, love and light for all of us.
We’ll read and comment on each others’ posts, get to know each other better, and hopefully, make or renew some friendships with everyone who signs on as participants in the coming months.
